FAQs
I need to repair my laptop/computer/MacBook ASAP. Can you help?
We provide technical assistance and
troubleshooting for computer systems, networks, software, and
hardware-related issues from a distance. Instead of an engineer
physically visiting your location, we connect to your computer or
network through secure channels using specialised software and tools.
We can perform tasks like software installations, system updates, virus
scans, and configuration adjustments remotely.
Is it worth repairing my computer?
In most cases – YES but depending on the
make|model of your computer and what you’re using it for. For example,
if the computer is up to five years old (like in most cases), we would
recommend repairing it. If your computer is older than five years it
would be your choice, as if you need a more powerful machine, we
recommend buying a new one. If you are happy with the performance or
want to upgrade your existing machine, along with the repairs, it would
be cheaper than getting a new machine.
How long will it take to repair my machine?
On average it takes from 7-14 days, however if
we need to order the parts from abroad, it might take significantly
longer, we will let you know before we order any price.
Do I know how much I need to pay before you start any repairs?
We will inspect your laptop within 48 hours and
will get in touch with you with an estimate.
I have important data on my computer which is no longer working, can you
recover all my files?
Yes, but you need to let us know about it in
advance. We will do our best to recover all your files.
My screen is broken. Can you replace just the screen?
Yes, we can replace the screen damage, the
screen replacement usually takes about 7-14 days on average to replace,
and the cost would depend on your make/model, but usually it’s about
£250 including parts and labour for most laptops, apart from gaming,
large screen size (over 15 inch) and MacBooks.
Usually, we would recommend an upgrade for your machine during the
repairs, because we have to disassemble the machine anyway, it will be
cheaper for you as we have to spend less time doing the upgrades. It’s
important to note that we would only recommend fitting faster up to date
parts, instead of the original ones, for example we do not recommend
replacing the hard drive with the factory ones, because they’re slow and
outdated, instead we would not only repair your machine, but upgrade it
at the same time.
For most machines we would recommend upgrading your RAM and the hard
drive, if it’s a gaming computer we would also recommend replacing the
graphics card and/or the CPU.
Do you repair the water damaged computers?
Yes, we repair water damaged computers, laptops and MacBooks. The
average cost of the water damage repairs is about £300, depending on the
make/model, it takes on average about 14 days to repair the water
damaged machine.
What do I do if I spilled some water on my MacBook or Laptop?
We would recommend turning it upside down as fast as possible and
switching off the machine by holding the power button for at least 60
seconds. Also, remove the battery if possible. We would recommend
bringing the machine for inspection before you power it up, as more
damage can occur if you power it up with some traces of water inside the
machine, especially if it’s a brand-new machine.

machine usually means it’s either too old and requires an upgrade or
your machine has an overheating/failing storage drive. Either way it
means that your machine has to be looked at before it’s too late, as
